International students should apply through the online Marywood application or the Common app. There is a $50 application fee when you submit through the Marywood online application or Common Application.

Below is a general guide to help you understand the typical application process and requirements. Please note that specific details may vary by program and semester. We strongly recommend that you always refer to the official program website for the most accurate and up-to-date information.

Required Documents:

Step 1: Application Submission

  • Personal statement/essay
  • A copy of your student's passport
  • Resume (required only for graduate programs)

Step 2: Third-Party Submission

  • Letters of recommendation, sent directly by the recommender
    • Undergraduate programs - One letter required
    • Graduate programs - 2-3 letters required
  • English proficiency test scores (TOEFL, IELTS, PTE, or Duolingo), sent directly from the testing agency to 51Æ·²è. 
    • Undergraduate programs - minimum scores: Duolingo 90, IELTS 5.5, TOEFL 71, PTE 48
    • Graduate programs - minimum scores: Duolingo 100, IELTS 6.0, TOEFL 79, PTE 53
  • All official transcripts, sent directly from the school by email to internationaladm@marywood.edu
    • Undergraduate programs - High school and any previous higher education transcripts required
    • Graduate programs - Bachelor's and any other higher education transcripts required

Step 3: Post-Acceptance Requirements (NOT required for the initial review)

  • Bank Statement
  • Certificate of Finance

For Undergraduate International students: 

Please note that application deadlines may vary by program or change over time. Always refer to the official program website for the most accurate and up-to-date information at the time of your students' application. Below are the typical application deadlines for submission:

  • Fall Semester (starting in August): Submit documents by Jun. 1.
  • Spring Semester (starting in January): Submit documents by Nov. 1.

For Graduate International students:

Please note that the programs listed under 'Program Specific' follow individual deadlines. For all other programs, please refer to the typical application deadlines listed below:

  • Fall Semester (starting in August): Submit documents by Jun. 1.

  • Summer Semester (starting in May or July): Submit documents by April. 1.

  • Spring Semester (starting in January): Submit documents by Nov. 1.

For undergraduate programs, 51Æ·²è offers merit-based partial scholarships to outstanding international students. Please note that your student will be automatically considered for these scholarships when you apply—no separate application is required. For graduate students, scholarships are available in the form of Graduate Assistantships. Typically, students must first be accepted into a graduate program and be physically present on campus before applying for these positions.
